Date: January 13, 2014
To: Participants of the 2014 NJCAA Men’s National Soccer Tournament
From: Yavapai College Athletic Training Staff
Subject: Medical Coverage

The Athletic training Staff at Yavapai College is proud to welcome all potential teams to the 2014 NJCAA Men’s National Soccer Tournament Website!

The tournament will take place at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott and Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley. A certified athletic trainer as well as a team physician will cover or be on call for all games. We do, however, highly encourage participating schools to provide their own medical coverage.

Taping services will be offered to all participants who are traveling without an athletic trainer. We request that each team provide their own taping supplies. Certified athletic trainers traveling with the teams are welcome to use any of the modalities in our facility and those that will be located at the fields. Those teams not traveling with a certified athletic trainer and wish to utilize the electrotherapeutic modalities must provide a letter of authorization from their school athletic trainer or team physician. Should you require any special accommodations please contact us prior to your first game.
Each bench will be supplied with a cooler of ice bags, 1 cooler of water, and a cooler of Gatorade. Emergency medical equipment will be available should and emergency situation arise. IF further medical assistance is needed, athletes will be sent to the emergency room at Yavapai Regional Medical Center (East and West Campuses) (928) 445-2700 depending on venue they are playing at. Maps with detailed directions will be included in the Medical packet to be handed out at the coaches meeting.
